Nowadays, Internet has become a necessary part in people’s daily life. The most important part in Internet is algorithms. Algorithms can searching the whole information through the internet and show what you want in a quick time. Algorithms has the ability to enable and assign the information is perceived by the users. Algorithms can be seem as a calculation, according to a series of calculations and predictions, even can get the movement of a celestial body across the sky. For the algorithms, they have a special command structure, when people put the key words in, there are several kinds of results will pop out for people to choose. This essay is a conceptual map and
there are six dimensions of public relevance algorithms which is patterns of inclusion, Cycles of Anticipation, The Evaluation of Relevance, The Promise of Algorithmic Objectivity, entanglement with practice and the production of calculated publics. Algorithms has the significant influence to the public, people need to understand how they works and where are they appear. People use algorithms to propaganda their information and also people has the quality to receive this information. There will be several kinds of selection for people. There are several searching engine on internet, both of them have algorithms in it. When people search the keyword on the internet, there will be kinds of results for people to choose and then they can choose the result that they most want. Algorithms improves people’s daily life and also people realized their are still some defect for algorithms. The algorithms are still in people’s grasp in many ways.
The Digital Divide and Remote Aboriginal Communities
In modern society, Internet use has become common, even one mobile per person, however, in some remote are, a part of people has never access to the internet. In this article, Rennie introduced how the Internet walks into people’s lives and improve their living conditions. This article talks the benefit of the internet and people’s attitudes towards the internet. There are two extremes in Australia, one is modern city, the other one is remote area. In remote area, there is only one laptop among the twenty-two permanent residents of Mungalawurru, but it wasn’t connected to the internet. This would mean that it was a lonely town and lost contact with the outside world. The author considered that the participation of government programs, people start to realized the benefit of the internet. In the past, there are only few people know what is internet and ever access to the internet. For example, a wealth of data suggests that people in remote ares have become polarised against those in urban centres. Resolving the communication infrastructure in remote Australia also illustrated how the remote communities connect to the outside world. When the government start their programs, government try to help residents, show them how to do something, listen to their concerns, and explain repeatedly how they can keep in touch in the future. This article largely reflects the importance of the Internet and how it has improved people’s daily life. As the years went by, this article still will be very useful, improving the internet in remote communities can not completed in a short term. Government should be pay more attention on it.
Multi-modality
With the rapid development of Internet and TV broadcasting technology, a huge and increasing number of social and program videos have been produced. Video media provides a mixture of image, sound, text and action, which has a high amount of information and influence on the audience. In this article, an efficient and robust video copy detection method is proposed for large-scale video data processing, which combines the temporal continuity and multi-modality of video. The author consider that In order to improve the tolerance of length change in video relocation, an effective dynamic path search method is proposed to detect target video clips, and a highly compact audio fingerprint and visual sequence feature are combined in a flexible frame.
The author pay more attention on the the detection of short sequences of targets from large video streams and long video streams, which is typical in practical applications such as advertising surveillance. There are always some uncertainties when testing so that the author always need to test them online. The latest development of multimedia technology promotes the development of content-based VCD Technology. For example, huge amount of practise and experiment shows that audio has become an important part in the video clip matching. Single mode is not enough for large-scale VCD or retrieval, which requires high efficiency and efficiency. In addition, the characteristics of video data in applications enhance the necessity of using multimodality. The using of the multi-modality made the video become more colourful. In this article, an effective VCD scheme using both auditory and visual signals is proposed. We extract efficient audio fingerprint and visual sequence features, and use them together.
